Hello Parents and Pacific School friends!
In 1991, the Pacific School community created a nonprofit now known as the Pacific School Foundation (PSF) to support the unique programs and people of Pacific Elementary. As a volunteer-run organization, we continue with your help. Everyone connected to our community is automatically a foundation member!
PSF supports the school by raising funds to bridge gaps in state and federal funding. We specifically support our school’s Life Lab and FoodLab programs, the library, music, theater, art, staff appreciation, and more. To do so, we rely on the kind support of Pacific families and friends to put on a variety of “FUNd-raisers” and school community events each year.
This year, we have a goal to raise almost $40,000, which breaks down to ~$225 a student/year or $25 a student/month based on increasing enrollment.
There are many options to lend a hand! We have the greatest need for donations of time leading or assisting PSF’s fundraising and community-building efforts. We also appreciate in-kind donations of goods or services to auction. Critical to our mission are class liaisons or parent/guardians who facilitate communication with other families, submit yearbook photos, and help with staff appreciation. Please reach out if interested!
As the saying goes, it takes a village, and we are so glad you are a part of our school community. We hope you had a restful summer and are excited to partner together again this year for the betterment of our kids and school. We are kicking off the first PSF planning meeting with a potluck August 19 at 5:30pm at the school. Please join us to help brainstorm and hear about opportunities to help lend a hand.

Thank you in advance for your support in all its forms!

How you can help support the school:
Attend PSF Parent Meetings: PSF Meetings are the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 5:30pm. We cannot conduct business without a quorum. Meetings alternate between Davenport, Santa Cruz, and Zoom.
PSF needs to fill the following positions:
- Potato Night Lead
- Bingo Night Lead
- Popcorn Wednesday helpers
You can contribute now
- Bring tax-deductible cash or check payable to PSF to the office or mail to the address above
- Go to PayPal (@PacificSchoolFdn) to make a monthly recurring or one-time donation to PSF
- Create a Facebook fundraiser https://m.facebook.com/pacificschoolfoundation/
- Donate volunteer hours or funds via a corporate matching or giving site like Benevity or Network 4 Good
We’re here to support your ideas!
- Host a FUNd-raising event at your home or business (pool party, bakery, restaurant, date night, etc.)!
- We hope to hold one small event a month outside our large community events – Potato and Bingo Nights – and need volunteers to organize with local restaurants (e.g. past events include Pizza my Heart, the Penny Ice Creamery, Mission St BBQ, Hook & Line, etc…)
